Founding Partner

Kimberly Smith has over a decade of experience as a Petroleum Landmanager.  She is a certified Registered Petroleum Landmanager who negotiates leasing mineral rights and working interest.  She has markets and sells oil and gas interests.  She produced her own radio show "Permian Landgirl" at KWEL FM 107.1  in Midland, Texas which led to media interviews with Korean Broadcasting System, Bloomberg and other media outlets.  Daily, she leads fossil fuel conversation on  social media to a global audience.  She is available to speak about the risk and rewards of the oil and gas industry to associations, news media, or on #FossilFuelFridays.   She has a deep multidisciplinary understanding of the upstream market and a passion for telling the oil and gas story.   After working on drill sites locations, in the land records, she respects each discipline from geology, engineering, legal, land,  finance, data science and operations.  TTO clients appreciate how she makes their vision come to life.   Kimberly is a Graduate of Baylor University, Georgia College, with CEU from Midland College, and Moody School of Journalism,  Knight Center for Journalism in Data Visualization.  Other media training includes Solutions Based Journalism and Sustainable Journalism Courses with the Atlanta Press Club and University of Georgia.  Volunteer projects have included College Football Playoff, Superbowl 53, Junior League Midland and Atlanta Sustainer.  When needed she is a professor teaching political science and government to colleges and universities.
